Alyssa and Johann are not only two of the kindest, most beautiful (inside and out) people I’ve ever met, but they alsooo happen to be family! Alyssa is Ben’s cousin, which means she’ll officially be my family when I marry Ben in May, so when they asked me to shoot their wedding I screamed like a banshee, and then when they told me it was going to be on Kauai, I lost my mind.

Getting this wedding to happen, however, was quite the challenge. From venue cancellations, travel restrictions, last minute guest cancellations, etc etc etc, Alyssa and Johann had to weather quite the storm to bring this beautiful day to fruition - but they did it!

Being able to capture a day that was years in the making for some of my favorite people ever in one of the most beautiful places on earth was surreal. The Waimea Plantation Cottages on Kauai served as the perfect backdrop for this wedding, and the florals by Caleb Franklin (which he foraged 100% of) were breathtaking, and Meghan Daul made Alyssa look absolutely stunning!
